Description
The Alabama Julep Cup is a very pretty cup, similar to designs by several Alabama-based metal-smiths but especially to the work of the L'Hammedieu brothers in Mobile, probably in 1846. Like all our Julep cups it's made using the traditional method of spinning a single disc of lead-free pewter on a lathe while the metal is pushed into an even shape with various specialist tools. This means that the inside of the cup is completely seam-free, making it much easier to keep clean.
