There's no getting away from it - the Mint Julep Cup will forever be associated with Kentucky more than anywhere else, and in particular with the famous derby. As a gift at a wedding or christening or simply a highlight of an amazing derby party, this beautiful cup is heaped with tradition.
Our Kentucky Julep is inspired by the work of renowned Lexington metalsmith Asa Blanchard. Asa Blanchard moved to Kentucky in about 1806 at a time when the city was changing rapidly from frontier outpost to thriving metropolis, and his work was very much a part of the city's cultural and artistic expansion. His designs are known for timeless elegance, and we think he'd have liked this tribute, and we're pretty sure you will too.
This cup is spun in the USA from a disc of pewter using age-old methods. It's sturdily made, so treat yours well and it will last a lifetime.
Don't forget we also stock a matching 2oz pewter jigger cup to complement your amazing new cup. Although we prefer pewter for looks and practicality, if you'd like a sterling silver version we can arrange that too. Just let us know and we'd be happy to help.
This cup is about 4 ¾” tall and 3 ¼” across at the rim.
